He launched into "Moon River" ... and Vicki and I started singing along, only we were singing the words my brother Chris made up to it when we were kids, and we were both laughing our butts off, and Mr. Mathis just kept singing though he was looking at us funny.
"Moon RiverHey. We were wierd kids. Guess we grew up to be wierd adults, too :-P
Wider than a mile
I'd love to see that crocodile
Smile
And when he goes
Down the aisle
He eats my file
And jumps into a pile
Of food
That dumb crocodile"
This is the only way I know how to contact you so I apologize for commenting on your Johnny Mathis dream post.
ReplyDeleteI ran across your post "too far away from my beer". I have been searching for that song for years. The song was by The Bobs, I cannot find them anywhere. The album was sold only to members of The Bob club, your name had to be Bob. All of the songs were fun and "Too far away from my beer" is the only one that had that "country" sound. - Monica
