Bonus Pictures

Several of the locals, especially the many photographers there, mentioned that it is unusual to get a big snow while the aspens are in color. Many had lived there all their lives an never seen the Bells like this -- so we got quite a treat apparently. Here are a few more shots -- this one back down at Maroon Lake from the Crater Lake trail, looking East.

This shot was taken before turning into the actual valley that usually frames the Bells before you drive to the parking area.

Here's "Vicki's Mountain" -- Vicki really liked this formation on the northwest side of the valley as you come in.

I really didn't want to leave the Bells that afternoon. I wanted to sit and watch the sun set over them.
